Musician: Violinist & Violist.

Thomas is a versatile musician, skilled in both the violin and the viola. His musical journey commenced at the age of 8 with the violin, and he later took up the viola at the age of 14.

He is an enthusiastic string player in Hong Kong, and over the past decade, he has actively contributed to numerous performing groups in the region. These include the Wah Yan College Kowloon Symphony Orchestra, Hong Kong Festival Orchestra, and Gustav Mahler Orchestra. Notably, Thomas has had the privilege of sharing the stage with esteemed musicians of international acclaim, such as Joshua Bell and Vassily Sinaisky.

An Orchestra Player

Thomas embarked on his orchestral journey at the tender age of 9, assuming the role of a first violinist in both the Wah Yan College, Kowloon Symphony Orchestra and String Orchestra. His dedication to music continued to evolve, leading him to explore the world of the viola at the age of 14. Since then, Thomas has become an integral part of numerous performing groups in both Hong Kong and Melbourne, showcasing his exceptional talent as a violist.

In 2012 and 2015, Thomas had the honor of being invited to join orchestra tours in Indonesia and Belgium, respectively. The performances at these international venues were met with resounding acclaim, further establishing Thomas's reputation as a remarkable musician.

A Conductor

During his high school years, Thomas demonstrated his musical leadership by serving as one of the student conductors of the school orchestra. In 2015, he further honed his conducting skills by participating in the Conducting Master Class hosted by the Asian Youth Orchestra. Under the guidance of esteemed mentors, including Artistic Director Richard Pontzious and Principal Conductor James Judd, Thomas delved into the intricacies of conducting. The masterclass repertoire featured monumental works such as Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 and Mahler's Symphony No. 4.

A Live Show Player

In addition to his orchestral pursuits, Thomas is a dynamic live show and concert performer. His journey in this realm began in 2010, and he has graced the stage in a wide array of live performances, including pop music concerts and charitable fundraising events. Notably, in 2012, Thomas had the privilege of sharing the spotlight with the renowned Hong Kong pop singer, Wing Lun TAM Alan.
